Hotel description

The "Alpenhotel Garfrescha" is located at an altitude of around 1500 m, above the well-known town of St. Gallenkirch, in the middle of the beautiful Montafon mountains.
In winter, the hotel can only be reached by the Garfrescha lift, in the summer months you can use the mountain road by car during the day.
The Alpenhotel Garfrescha's optimal location makes it possible to make your first morning tracks in the snow in winter and to set off on a wonderful hike or mountain bike tour with the first rays of sunshine in summer.

Note on arrival:
Located at 1500 m above sea level right in the middle of the Silvretta Nova above the town of St. Gallenkirch. You can get there by car or with the "Garfrescha Bahn" chairlift (the mountain railway ticket for the ascent by train must be paid for by the guest on site at the valley station. Arrival by Garfrescha Bahn is possible until 4 p.m. at the latest).

Information for guests regarding arrival:
Please note that due to our special location with access via the private alpine road, arrival is only recommended during daylight hours. Access to the hotel with a valid reservation is permitted. If you arrive by car, there is a charge of €10 per day for the alpine parking lot. ATTENTION: Due to our location, not all rooms have parking spaces available. Arrival and departure are possible at any time, but depending on the booking situation, the car may have to be parked at the valley station of the chairlift. We therefore recommend arriving at the hotel by 4 p.m. at the latest in order to be able to reach the lift if necessary. Please only use navigation systems to get to Sankt Gallenkirch, as some systems use incorrect coordinates. From Sankt Gallenkirch, coming from Bludenz, follow the main road. At the end of the town, turn right just before the gas station and the MPreis supermarket and you will reach the "Garfrescha Bahn" parking lot. To the left of the chairlift over the bridge, the private road leads very steeply and windingly 600 meters in altitude over 5.2 km to Alpe Garfrescha.
